DCEF1102: Sociology of Early Childhood Care and Education


The course Sociology of Early Childhood Education explores the sociological dimensions of early childhood care, education, and development (ECD). Through this course, you will get the opportunity to examine how social factors, including family structure, socioeconomic status, culture, community, gender, and technology, shape children's early experiences and their future trajectories. The course will also analyse the role of policies and institutions in promoting equitable and inclusive ECD practices.
